To begin with easy Christmas craft ideas for kids, I pulled out Snowman from beneath my knitted jacket and thought to give it a twist. You might not find all the Christmas crafts that neat and clean, since my 3year old has actively participated in it. And to a mama, that participation really matters and these will be my ornaments for Christmas tree this year.

Christmas Craft Ideas for Kids : Snowman Crafts :

1. Sock Snowman :

Well, this is the most beautiful healthy Snowman Craft for Christmas, and we loved it so much. Also plumpy Snowman of ours takes max 10 minutes and was a great fun shaping it out.

Requisites for Sock Snowman:

  • One white sock (go for adult socks)
  • Rice ( little less than 1/2Kg)
  • Rubber bands and Lace to tie
  • Colourful Pins

How to make a Sock Snowman:

Simply cut one sock, one from a little above the ankle and another cut from the top(elastic) portion of the sock. Tie the bigger part of the sock with rubber band(that will be the base) and fill rice into it, till it attains the shape. Tie rubber at the top to close the open ends. Now try giving the shape of face and body and put a rubber band in the waist area to demarcate them. Tie the lace there and form a beautiful bow. Now comes the role of the cut- elastic part of the sock. Tie its non elastic end with the rubber and then drape a lace over it. The elastic part becomes the fitting portion of the Snowman’s cap. The ball pins do the rest work of eyes and a nose. And here, an adorable Snowman craft is ready as your Christmas tree ornament!

Additional Ideas :

  • If you have buttons you can stick them on the Snowman’s body.
  • You can also make a red cap out of another sock to give it a contrasting look.
