Coconut water Pineapple Detox drink recipe

Coconut water Pineapple Detox drink recipe

Coconut and Pineapple are the two most popular and exotic fruits packed with some great health benefits. Well, I’m sure many would project a tropical cocktail made out of these two fruits, but well, here we will be discussing on the Coconut water Pineapple detox drink. In the last post, I had shared about three Cucumber-based detox drinks, as a great addition to your journey towards a healthy lifestyle.

Coconut water not just tastes amazing but coconut is also one of the most hydrating fruit that a human body needs. It helps to gain instant energy and this is the reason, why drinking coconut water is highly recommended before a workout.

Not just before a workout, since it is rich in electrolytes, it replenishes the electrolyte balance in our body, hence Coconut water is the most preferred drink even after a workout. It helps you fight with the fatigue and instantly boosts your energy levels.

And I can vouch for this benefit, as I have been consuming Coconut water (with mint and lemon) daily after my workout session.

What are the benefits of Coconut water?

Coconut water is,

  • Low in calories and carbs
  • Rich in Fibres, protein
  • Rich in essential Vitamins (including Vitamin C and E)
  • Contains essential minerals like Sodium, Magnesium, Potassium, Selenium, Calcium
  • Rich in antioxidants and even studies suggest that it improves blood sugar levels.

And when Coconut water is clubbed with Pineapple and ginger, it makes a perfect detox drink ready to be consumed empty stomach. Adding pineapple to our diet not just boosts our Immune system but also helps in natural detoxification.

Coconut Water Pineapple Detox drink:

So, here comes the Coconut Pineapple detox drink for a healthy you! I add ginger and mint to the simple coconut water and pineapple juice, for an additional dose of nutrition, more so as winters are approaching.

When to drink Coconut water – Pineapple juice?

Well, I prefer to drink it after my workout in the morning. I consume this super refreshing drink with a dash of ginger at least thrice a week. If not in the morning, you can even have it before your meals or in the evening. Further, many people prefer to strain this juice, but I consume this fresh homemade detox juice, without straining. You can try it this way too!

Pineapple juice is highly rich in Vitamin C, B6, manganese, and copper, which play a very crucial role in immunity, energy production, and even in our healing mechanisms.

  • Low in fat, but rich in vitamin C, beta carotene, and various flavonoids, Pineapple is a fruit that is rich in antioxidants.
  • Due to the presence of bromelain (probiotic enzyme), Pineapple helps in recovery from Infections and even improve the digestion.

Do Coconut water and Pineapple juice helps in weight loss?

Well, that’s a very common question, but to be very honest, nothing has been proven. Further, I’ve always maintained that solely relying on drinks for weight loss, is never the right way to lose that extra fat. These are super healthy additions to your diet plan. Since both, these fruits are low in calories, and aid metabolism, they will make you feel fuller for some time. But Cucumber detox drinks do a better job here (that’s a personal experience).
