Foodie’s Paradise : Fun time at Pacific Mall

Pacific Mall : A Foodie’s Trail

Life is a combination of Cheese Cake and Paneer 65, what do you say? Wake up #blogfam, It’s “Food-O-Clock”, because to me people who love to eat are the best people (in the world). So, let me tell you, if there is something common in our family, it is the “love for food”. It gives me a feel that Food binds us all together. And so, to rejoice this love, we attended a Food tasting and cookout session at the most talked about “Pacific Mall” in Delhi.

Cookout.. can you guess with whom? Well, it was with none other than the foodie, Kunal Vijayakar. I’ve seen him as India’s most recognisable food writer and food show host and this made me quite excited to witness cookout sessions with him. It was a foggy chilling morning, but the spark was already ignited for a scrumptious start of the day.

Did you know that Pacific Mall in has some of the most savoury restaurants in Delhi? With more than 140 stores, it is a perfect destination for shoppers, foodies and families. Presence of kids outdoor zone and indoor hangout zone makes it one of the most sought after mall in India.

The winter morning was a marathon, as we proceeded to taste some appetising specialities from 7 Restaurants. Right from Chaamp, to Juiciest burgers, to Cheese Parmesan Quesadilla, very own Indian Dal Makhani and Biryani, it was a delectable experience.

Sorry, Did I forget to mention the Softest Baked Cheese Cake ever? Well, I was too busy re-thinking about its deliciousness!

Here is our Food tasting and cookout Journey at Pacific Mall :

1. Punjab Grill :

The start was with Punjab Grill, which had the 1st cookout session with Kunal. Chef Vijay and Kunal gave us some high on food moments, as we moved directly into the heart of the restaurant, i.e. the Kitchen. It was their special delicacy, with some exotic spices and I’m sure it was a heaven for Non veg lovers. Their specially cooked dishes were served for the tasting.

Punjab Grill is a fine dine restaurant, equally popular with veg and non veg lovers. Their lip-smacking food has never disappointed any food lover.

2. Café Delhi Heights :

The next stop was this Cafe, which is famous for presenting one with an eclectic mix of various cuisines across the world. Well, I’m sure I would witness many lovers of Cafe Delhi heights for their various delicacies, but there would be one thing common, Love for their exceptional Burgers. When you see the fresh spices and ingredients, cheese and Jalapeno , being stuffed in the most juiciest of the burger, what are you left with? Drooling!!

So, here it was a cookout of Grilled Chicken Breast. We tried their larger than any Burger – Delhi Burger, which was amazingly lip smacking.

3. Chili’s :

Chili’s is one of the Restaurant, where almost all dishes have flavoursome mouthwatering tastes. While understanding from the chef, why do their dishes stand out, we were served with some heavenly luscious dishes. Parmesan Crusted cottage cheese Quesadillas, A veggie Rice bowl, Sizzling Fajita with grilled shrimps, sliced bell peppers & caramelized onions, topped with Chipotle garlic butter & chopped cilantro went amazingly well with with warm flour tortillas.

Chili’s is a perfect delight for Mexican, American, Italian and Salad lovers.

4. Jamie’s Oliver Italian :

An exotic aura welcomes you! Does it sounds novel and rare when fresh and the finest Pasta is made daily from the raw materials at the Restaurant itself? Yes, the aroma and the feel of freshness along with the herbs will make you drool over this Italian restaurant.

The tasting here included Porcini Penne with mixed mushrooms, lemony gremolata, beggie parmesan and herby breadcrumbs. Their most famous Prawn Linguine and Turbo charge Margherita, with buffalo mozzarella, were relished. they presented us with the finest of the tastes.

And the happy start was made sweeter as we were spoilt with Baked Cheesecake with candies citrus compote. Believe me, every slice and every bite was angelic.

Good news, Gluten Free pasta’s are also available here!

5. Castle’s Barbeque :

We didn’t knew that a dreamy Castle land awaited us to give the most enchanting welcome. A beautiful warm ambience, a table decorated with 10 Mocktails, ranging right from Virgin Mojito to Britney’s favourite, entering here was an absolute charm.

They presented our very own Dal Makhani, prepared in chef’s style. Their Paneer Tikka and Pineapple grill tickles one to the core. The live Bar, live grill, music, and the courteous staff makes Castle Barbeque a perfect place enjoy the New years with family!

6. The Beer café :

Who needs an introduction to the very famous, The Beer Cafe? I’m sure food and drink lovers are well spoilt here due to their never ending Beer list and some most delectable appetisers. While here, Seekh Kebab was the main starter, Bhuni Chaat (with Roasted pineapple, apples, mushrooms, guava & bell peppers, seasoned with spices) gave a perfect subtle taste.

Italian and North Indian food rocks here with their expertise in drinks. I personally love their White sauce pasta and Bhel too.

7. Biryani Blues :

The last junction of our Food Express was at Biryani Blues. Forget Hyderabadi Biryani, when you have Biryani Blues at Pacific mall to please your taste buds. You’ll get a new and fresh look for Nizami Cuisine’s here. Quite easy on pocket, its a must visit for all Biryani Lovers. Kebab’s and Handi Biryani was served here and it was cooked to  the perfection. With ample options for Veg and Non veg, this place is good enough to hit the blues away.

Our appeasing morning was coming to an end. I need to thank pacific Mall for delivering what was promised. A flavourful “delizioso” day of this food express. Delhites, if you’ve not been to Pacific mall for any of these restaurants, then you need to do it this New Years! Setting is beautiful and they are promising to make your “Joys Bigger”.

After all, Good food = Good Mood! Enjoy the New years!

Much Love,

Jhilmil
