Fun with Fundough from Funskool!

The ultimate fun story with Fundough

Sculpting, rolling, squishing, designing, in my sense is what defines fun with Fundough!

An innately creative person myself, I’ve always emphasized on raising a creative child. Forget the rote learnings, giving my son an aura of experiential learning has always been my motto. Be it allowing a few moments of “getting bored”, to being close to Nature, or be it interesting games designed from the available items.

Who says, kids, need new toys every week? To me, that’s an un-necessary pocket burning experience. The need is to bring thoughtful things, which ignite creativity, enhances development and yet are long-lasting. Be it designing some craft with your empty coke bottles or to add up to the list, is the Dough, to which we’re intrigued always as a family.

Fundough from Funskool

This colorful world of Dough is an all-time favorite for us. And I’m sure, many mom’s reading out would be nodding the same. So, let me introduce you’ll to “Fundough”, India’s very own Dough, right from the house of ace toy brand, Funskool.

With summers on their peak and vacations right at the doors, this time, I surprised my bunny with Fundough compounds and Playsets. And since then, we are immersed in the world of Role Plays. At times, he is my mini chef, serving Hot dogs to his dad (customer of his shop) and at times, he is counting paper money for the waffles he sold in his Ice cream shop. Somedays, he is a Mason and Engineer, building up a house and surroundings. It’s like every day, we are narrating a new role from the daily life occupations. Such role-plays help a child solve lots of real-life situations.

Witnessing the real Fun :

Why do we love our Fundough from Funskool?

  • The dough is soft and it doesn’t stick at all to the fingers. Removing dough from the moulds is an easy peasy task.
  • They are available in more than 40 forms. Be it compounds (Dough Tubs, Pouch, Dough Cup), or Jars (Shape crafts, Zoo and more), or even super adorable play sets, you’ll be spoilt for best choices.
  • Did you know that Fundough from Funskool has 22 Playsets? Whoa, quite huge. Ranging from Police, Zoo, Farm, Molly Dolly, Circus, Kitchen set, Bakery, Ice cream shop, you think of and they have it.
  • Fundough is absolutely safe and non-toxic for your little human. Be assured on the quality aspect, as it is coming from Funskool.
  • How do you get it? It’s an Online world, and Fundough is available on all E-commerce Platforms. Amazon, Flipkart, FirstCry, you’ll get it on your favorite portal.
  • Moms, believe me, the prices are quite competitive. Starting from Rs30, their highest product cost goes just up to Rs999. Sounds a relief? I was happy too.

Now that we’re all aware of Fundough, let’s see how does dough help a child?

What is the Importance of playing with dough for kids :

1. Creativity:

First and foremost, Imagination and Creativity is what is triggered while Playing with dough. As kids roll, stamp, they always create something new out of a piece of dough. I remember, my son made a simple snake and when he came to me, he narrated his self-made story of the snake and a human (which supposedly was he himself). Imagine the fun and the artistry act a child is being involved in.

2. Role Plays:

Role Plays are a must in a child’s daily play. Kids have to get acquainted with real-life situations too. What if things go wrong or not in their favor? This is where they need to be resilient and Fundough can be really fun learning with Roleplay.

“I got astonished, as my cub asked his dad (customer to his shop) to take his seat. He offered him what he had on his menu and imitated a perfect food guy. As we together made some burgers, fries, pizza’s, he arranged them properly in plates before serving. And the fun was when he served to his customer, he gave a sigh of caution, Junk food is not healthy, so eat in moderation!”

So, he gets that sense of understanding, confidence, and self-esteem. Which is why such fun role plays needs to be built in early growing years.

3. Skill Development:

When those tiny fingers are on the work, you are helping them build up their Fine motor skills. All those rolling, flattening, cutting, squishing, helps in developing the muscles of children. An important point, it helps them build a grip too and hand-eye coordination.

4. Social Skills :

I’ve gone through the pain when kids are not social during the early years. We have been successful parents, in converting an introvert kid into a super extrovert child. That took lots of efforts and engaging a child in group plays was one of them. Playing dough in small groups create wonders. Kids team up, start the planning, support each other.

5. Messy:

Thinking how can I term it as a benefit, rather than pain? An honest confession, kids love their messy plays. And that’s where the bulb of imagination ignites the most. Observe it closely and you’ll be all set for it. Leaving kids with dough can be little messy, but much better than the foaming gels, right?

Allow them some Messy play. And let them clean up themselves, that makes them responsible beings:)

6. Linguistic and self-expression:

Don’t just limit your child to his designs. Once he has made something out of Fundough, prompt him to speak about it, whatever he knows. You can always add up some 2-3 lines after that. It’s a fun way in which you are unknowingly enhancing your child’s Self-expression and improving Linguistic skills.

7. Stress reliever and enhances attention span :

Playing with dough has a lot impact on Sensorimotor skills too. Fundough balls act as a stress reliever. When my son is engrossed in his play, he is a lot patient. Kids tend to sit at one place while they are with fundough. Doesn’t that caters to our problems of “Sit at one place for at least 5mins”,? lol! It works for me.
