Our Goa experience : Morjim beach

The day we hit Goa with our Toddler

Goa, a destination, which makes you poetic, out of the sheer love and radiance you see in the surroundings. The lyrical tides, colossal nature, the calming breeze, it ushers one with the most needed tranquility of life. Winters are amazing to step on to the land of Goa and engross into a life full of dreams and adventure. I still have every memory carved in my mind, when 2 years back, we visited Goa during Monsoon.

Sitting besides the pool, gazing at the beautiful sky hovered over with huge trees, I started to scribble,

O Mother earth ,

This creation seems to be romantic,

And this morning breeze is idyllic!

The clouds play peek-a-boo with the golden rays

As the tiny droplets rush to pat the face!

The world seems so lost to me,

This life appears so worthy to me ,

The tranquillity surrounding amazes,

And abandons the buzzing city gaze,

The calmness within me astounds;

And It provokes to live a life hereafter!

O Mother Earth, I wanna hug you firmly,

O mother earth, you’re truly incredible!

Somehow, these lines were never finished as I heard some shrieks of my little bundle of joy to grab the bites of Parantha’s awaiting for us.

The mesmerizing Morjim beach : Goa

Goa is broadly classified into North Goa and South Goa. While North Goa is full of hustle bustle and amazing Night life, South Goa mirrors the luxurious and pristine living.

We traversed on our bike towards the more peaceful beaches of North Goa, i.e Morjim, Arambol and Manderm beaches, apart from the commercial Calangute and Baga Beaches.

Did you know that Morjim Beach is a habitat for Olive Ridley sea turtles and is also tagged as “Little Russia”?

Well, we too were astounded to know that, as these endangered species come to the beach late evening to lay the eggs. This beach is quite famous for the Russian Trance parties as well. The first look of this beach makes you fall in love with its uniqueness of shiny blackish sand spread all over. And you’ll go spotting numerous beautiful, orange purple coloured shells, amongst the clean beach.

We took the chance to converse with the locals there, and got to know that October – December was a perfect time when you could be lucky to spot Olive Ridley Sea turtles at their nesting sites on this beach. With handful of tourists around, out of curiosity and a perfect calm atmosphere, we spent around two hours at this self-proclaimed “personal beach”, nurturing the gems of life. And could you believe that our decision to spend time at this beautiful beach bore us the most amazing results.

Hola! we spotted the Turtle, enthralled and overjoyed, it was the biggest treat to the nature and wildlife lovers!
